Also, I smashed out 60 Gnoblars today, 40 to go! Just have to do their weapons... I now feel for Horde army painters!
That's good Scotty, because by coincidence I am right in the middle of finishing off your old goblin horde

Waiting on some Tamiya spray paint. Got three cans on the way, unfortunately it is coming by sea mail, so should be here in about a month.

And if you are from Gerro, don't give anything away, I want to see if anyone notices... :?:

I had a bit of trouble with the Tamiya spray pooling/bubbling. I think I need to spray from a bit further back and try for lighter coats.

The spray looks a little glossy. You may need to spray with Matt Varnish before doing any washes etc over the top or the other paints won't stick well and pool. There is some really good stuff at the Art shop down the road from my place that comes in big cans on the cheap. The stuff is Westart Picture Varnish Matt and I think it is pretty much just as good as Dull Coat but cheaper and in a bigger can.

Your really much better off undercoating in white if your planning on using a light colour light pink as your sprayed basecoat.

Yeah. But I hate white spray. We are not friends!

I think I might have to undercoat white. I just tried it and I can get away with 1 coat of pink.

Mark Logue showed up for a game last week. He took one look at my boards that are textured and have a scorched brown base-coat and said "Son, I am dissapoint"
We spent the evening drybrushing and painting Cities of Death buildings. Mark even loves terrain so much that he came over the next evening to finish the city and give it some sweet sweet woodstain lovin'.

Well, it released the terrain monster I have hidden inside, and I've spent three days painting buildings and hills. Here is the results, I must say I am a little proud:

Both tables can upsize comfortably to 6*4's. I have another 3 large buildings and a bastion which are all wanting detailing. I will take better pictures early in the new year as the glare washed out some detail... The greys on the red buildings are actually silver. The two pools of greeny-brown gunk are going to become fountains for some statues I have done earlier:

More details please? I just got some buildings in the mail, and would like some cheap alternatives to a GW wash (not that I would be silly enough to use that liquid gold on terrain... but still).

And also, would afore mentioned wood stain work on grey buildings do you think? Or do I need to aim at the red brick look...
