Hmm...Unless Troy or others are hankering for some Mad Max action, this week may be better for me to try out my 1750 Skulls Road or 1850 Skulls Tourney list.

Signed up for Gaslands and got approved. Looks pretty simple and casual over serious. Not convinced that was the kind of game I was looking for but time will tell.

Yeah sorry I couldn't make it last night. Apparantly though we're open next week? If so will come down - WITNESS ME - and offer some bitumen mats for those keen. Bought more cars today...

I stand corrected, I didn't see that announced anywhere.

Ok so played a quick game of Gaslands today and went from super excited to disappointed in under 24hours :(

I'm giving the author the benefit of the doubt that it's meant to be a very simple game. Far too simple for my tastes. If I were to suggest changes and improvements I'd be basically (re)writing the document. That's not play testing, that's games design and I don't have the contract with Osprey. So I have respectfully withdrawn my interest.

On to Car Wars!

Edit: Forgot how complex Car Wars is. Got to collisions chapter and said aww hell no.

On to Road Wolf!

Edit2: Road Wolf doesn't appear to have much in the way of vehicle weapons and customisation :( I was looking for something that would let me add a quad AA gun turret to the back of a ute, I don't think this is Road Wolf, although it does look pretty cool. Is there a PDF version anywhere?

I think I'm back to Car Wars despite its complexity. I might put my search for rules on hold and get on with convertin' :)

Road Wolf is very basic - but good for some quick fun. That said - choosing your upgrade combos involves some tactics - but there's no options for harpoon launchers,, flame throwers, that sort of thing sadly.

Not sure I will be able to get down in time for a game tonight guys, but will endeavour to drop off the bitumen to the club for our future road warrior battles.

It wouldn't be hard to make rules for things like that. Road Wolf's simplicity makes it very easy to mess around with.

As an FYI, I've got a 40k match scheduled for tonight, so I won't be playing Road Wolf. If someone wants to borrow my cars for a game, however, I'm more than happy to bring them.

All good, I'm just coming down for a little while tonight, just for a wander.
