CCGs with the GW logo are allowed, and have technically always been allowed, since it arguably falls under the "GW hobby" umbrella specified in the constitution.

I personally doubt that the club is going to get inundated by a discontinued card game, but if it does and enough people find it to be a problem, we could always hold an SGM (or wait till the AGM) to address it.

We specifically decided to disallow games like D&D. While they can use minatures, it's not the focus of the game like it is with 40k/FB. We had to draw the line somewhere... ;)

I think more specifically Rathnard he was referring to the DnD miniatures game.

There are 2 DnD games, the pen and paper with models to make it easy and the DnD Miniatures game. Star Wars has a similar set up...

I'm not really familiar with the D&D or Star Wars minatures games. If they're what they sound like, then I imagine that they would be allowed.

Much in the same way that Axis and Allies Miniatures would be allowed, while the board game wouldn't, I'd guess.

So would I be correct in my presumptions that if I were to attempt to develop a tabletop miniature based game I would be able to do play testing at Outpost from now on?

Not to mention things like Full Tilt and Brewhouse Bash which featured in White Dwarf Magazine...

It was a game when you played snotlings and had to collect cards to build a troll, you could pinch cards off other players 'hence Oi, dats my leg' the game came with an audio tape that had goblin/snotling songs on it.

For some reason i also recall it having a board that you had to move around too. All the Snotling/goblin games were hideous colours though I remember that much.

just from the perspective of a newbie (to the club) and someone who is genuinly keen to play 40k and such, i would like to know how it is justified that A&A board game, or WoW boardgame are not miniature based??? i challenge anyone to succesfully play any of them without them! does this mean i cant bring WoW boardgame, Twilight imperium, Roborally etc etc.
just asking so i dont turn up with a box full of miniatures, a board, and a rule book and then told no

6. The non-GW games you can't play are basically anything that doesn't rely on minatures to play the game. So Board games like risk/shogun, card games (M:TG, World of Warcraft CCG etc) and RPGs (D&D) would be played elsewhere.
If you rely on the miniatures then it is fine. I guess the difference needs to be between 'counters' and 'miniatures' but the intent is that we are a tabletop wargame club, not a boardgame club.
