Hey,

What are the main games played these days. Deciding what to pack. I was going to bring over some epic and wrath of kings.

Is there any kind of fantasy being played? Kow, 9th etc?

I was also going to throw some 40k in the car incase the new edition is any good.

What clubs are still going? I left just after tga shutdown.
Thanks!

I think 40k is currently exploding, as it's Shadow War. From what I hear, Age of Sigmar also has a decent following.

I can't speak for other games, as I haven't been to a store/club in ages.

But practically every gamer I know it's back on the 40k train.

Hi Underlord, There is a very active KoW group in Perth and they are a great group of people to play against. Facebook is the best way to communicate as you won't see much KoW traffic on this forum; the Facebook page is Mantic Kings of War Perth. They hold tourney's every 4-6 weeks roughly and they are lots of fun. There is an event on this Sunday (a doubles event) and I think one of the players is still looking for a partner (Ratlady). There are plenty of armies you can borrow if you are short for minis. 1000pts each player for 3 x 2000pts games and 1 x 1000pt game against your doubles partner. Uses KoW V2 rules (we are not using the CoK supplement in this event as it is an intro tourney). Just thought I'd mention this if you are in Perth this weekend and keen to roll some dice. Details on the facebook page.

Outpost is still very strong on the club scene; rarely do they get less than 20 attendees on a club night (same set up as always). Again, most traffic has moved to facebook (their page is Outpost 6030).

Not sure if you play Bolt Action but there is a monthly games night at Good Games Cannington (usually in the 3rd week of every month that attracts between 8-10 players). Again, great group of people.

Cheers Taubad (John)

PS If you want to set up a game of KoW some time let me know.
