Very nice Abyssal Dwarf army you got there, but I'm not sure how much I like the slave orcs. I think you're asking for trouble

I've been focusing on single models so far this month so thought I'd post these up prior to moving on to painting a number Regiments for the hobby element of the Rise of Kings I League (which will kick off tomorrow at TGA and run until the end of August - please join us if you are interested). Pictured below are two Lykanis (Werewolf heroes, that are more wolf than man - these are 40K Chaos Hounds that Baz had collecting dust in a box), as well as a Giant and the initial five minis for my soon-to-arrive Forces of Nature Army from the Kings of War 2 KIckstarter. There is lots of gore on the Lykanis and Giant bases just to show a bit of nastiness around these terrors. The Forces of Nature minis include The Green Lady (centre - Mother Nature) and her four elemental daughters (Fire, Air, Water and Earth) that will be used as Druids in my FoN army. I think the Giant and the FoN models are all Necromunda sculpts. I bought these OOP minis from Hobdoglin earlier this year (thanks Michael, I hope you like what I've done with them). Anyway, here they are or you enjoyment.

those look great .

I may not get to all the games but I will keep some painting going. I will have to look at what models I have to paint and get them going. I am waiting for nature and abyssal for kick starter 2. I do have my load of the rings models that I am going to turn into a kingdom of men army, so they might be the project until the KoW2 models are released.

Cheers Justin, much appreciated. I'll look forward to seeing your LOTR minis painted up for a KoM list.

By the way, someone posted up a whole heap of Kings of War 2 Army Lists for all the LOTR armies on the Mantic Forum :D :D :D . You may have already seen it but here is the link in case you did not see it or if other subscribers to this thread are interested.

These lists look pretty good to me so maybe once your get you minis painted up we can try a few of them out.

Cheers Orange, much appreciated. She sure was fun to paint. I'm hoping I can find more of these sculpts for sale somewhere over the next year or so.

Found this guy at TGA, when I saw him I just had to have him.

This could also be a precursor for an allied contingent of Demons, I have 20 daemonettes sitting around and a greater Demon. So I kept the scheme rather simple and generic :P

So this is a dodgey WIP pic of some test models for my Lizard/Orc army (to be used as either army list in KoW, depending on my mood ;)). It's barely 3-colour minimum, but it's a start.

I got a whole army of these guys off Matt BP, so i figured I'd paint them up now while i have the chance and before the Abyssals from the KoW Kickstarter arrive!

A veritable smorgasbord of painting! Some lovely paint jobs there and good inspiration to keep up my own efforts (Penitents and some Goblin Fleabag Riders).

The Lizard/Orc army sounds like a great idea. I'll look forward to seeing it emerge in all its glory as I am sure it will be very impressive. The LoTR stuff is coming up really well too Justin. The basing style looks great, particularly on the cavalry units...and that Greater Demon looks awesome Baz!

Thanks for sharing all.

Thanks Taubad!

I've been plugging away at the Lizard-Orcs but in between I finally managed to finish my Goblin Flaggit - Pinky;

It occurred to me that he's the only model in my army for tonight that's not painted. So that had to be remedied! :)

Nice paint job. Pinky looks very happy and I am sure that he an Uncle Necro will get along like a city on fire.

Is that a Basilean Elohi head that Pinky is clutching to so lovingly??

See you tonight!
