Thinking about getting in to Dystopian Wars and was wondering how many players there are in Perth and where they play.

Currently a WHFB player and also wondering how accessible dw is?

There are six at my club Perth Miniatures Gamers Group (PMGG), though two are irregulars and one is my son so I usually play him at home.

We also have a pretty decent group of players at Outpost North (probably 6-8) and I know of more players that live south of the city... I would expect the game's popularity to only grow with time...

Tactics in the city is probably your best first stop, they keep a pretty good stock level and the prices for Spartan Games stock is actually very competitive with the overseas market...

My only advice is don't rush out and buy the first rulebook you see, Spartan Games have just announced a new rules revision 1.1 and there will be new books within the month... For a better idea look here...

Sea/Air have been the most popular but I think there are a few people like myself that have collected land forces but just not used them yet...

I too think the French look pretty darn good, I wouldn't mind collecting them as a second force but I think I will hold off till the other second wave nations are released just to make sure there is nothing cooler around the corner :)

Im another one south of the river.

I have found games very difficult to get hold of (usually have to find out who has a force and pester them in person - very little luck with the game finder).

Im a fan of fully combined games (i.e. land sea and air all at once). It needs about 1250 or more points to work well, but it does offer quite a unique feel to any other game Ive played.

Spartans prices are stunningly good compared to just about every other company out there! In fact I would go as far to say they offer the best quality for cost.
