@Nic, don’t buy any Space Monkies yet. There is an all new digitally designed Morat starter due for release sometime soon. The sculpts look awesome.

@Jarrad, I’d be keen on another tourney, but I’d need a little lead in time….
Ooh I missed this! Luckily I only have the raicho on the way :D just getting it to have a fun model to paint up, will hold off on the rest then :D cheers matt

My boards are basic mdf from bunnings. ;)

With interests for Infinity picking up recently, I've done quick inventory of the terrains. Have nearly enough for 4"x4". :)

Well...basic looking terrains anyway...I probably should start assembling more hdf buildings and do a few more scatter terrains.

I'll have to post some pics of my board up when Im back in Perth - its mostly Blind Pig Laser buildings + some recycling and a few fish tank plants.

So far my prefered game size is 250 - you get some big toys, but not all of them, and a single combat group is pretty easy unless you want to use two (I often find writing 300 point lists hard without a TAG - too much for one combat group, not quite enough for two).

Looking good Simmo, will be interested to see how it turns out once that bit's finished! Likewise Aulia - fair whack of terrain you've got now!

I've got enough hdf buildings to cover a 4x4 quite well, and enough scatter terrain to have some left over - also, I've got some stuff to put inside the buildings that I've got, so things are looking pretty spiffy (assuming that I get it all painted... )

As for game sizes, I think the first game I played was at 150 points, and then I've played nothing but 300 points after that.

I played 300 last night, 5 man linked team that got smashed by a yu jing transformer.... And 5 solid knights

300 works for me as the knightly order regularly has 30pts+ 'basic' infantry ;)

250pts is standard for me, though I can probably field about 4,785 in a pinch :P

It's a good size - last night saw a fair bit of action, including a Ragik spending his frequent flyer points across Jarrod's backline, a MYSTERIOUS SHASVASTII TO CAMO TOKEN THAT MOVED 12 INCHES PER ORDER OH MY WHAT COULD THAT BE OH LOOK SOMETHING NASTY JUST TWIN FLAMED A THIRD OF MY ARMY, ending up with a nice TAG duel between my Marghariba and that dastardly Sphinx, with one toasted Sphinx as the result.

Of course, his Aswuang then spooged the Marghariba with a ADHL and proceeded to shoot it 25 times. Only one wound, but it was awesome fun to watch. He was seriously considering whether or not to see whether Protheion works on TAGs, I think :P

So yeah, plenty of action in the 250 range. I enjoy 300 as well, but as Karl says, it can leave some forces hanging on occasion.

yep, that's how I see it. 150/200 I have mainly played for intro games.

You played 250 and fit a maghariba guard and ragik?

It's been a while but I just found it hard to justify the points on a tag when they were roughly a third of your force :/
Seemed like moar activations would win out a lot, but that is a massive generalisation
