Yeah the Proteus can swap its TL Heavy bolters for TL Lascanons now with the updated Legion book, pretty cool.

I figured I would get everything I completed in 2016 out for a photo, I must say I am very pleased with my efforts and hope to maintain or even improve the pace this year with a new army, and some additions to the SoH as I feel.

Please excuse the awful quality, it was very hard to find a room with adequate lighting given how much space these guys took up!

Last year I finally set out into the local gaming scene, something I had never done before. What I found was a great bunch of friendly guys, who enjoyed taking the time to teach a noob the ways of 30k, the core rules and even get me into a local tournament where I met even more players, got to show off my army and best of all gave me a deadline to complete new portions of my Armoured Spearhead army. Here's hoping this year is just as eventful, I have more plans to expand sections of the SoH, namely being some Mortis Dreadnoughts, possibly rounding out my Predator/Vindicator squadrons with Command tanks, maybe adding an Outrider squad and finishing off my Falchion, starting my Emperor's Children proper after toying around with some stuff last year and finishing my House Ærthegn knight army which will see an Atrapos and converted Magaera with the possible addition of the new Porphyrion if the Finance Overlord approves.

Thanks for looking :D

Looking great Rangaman! That is a massive effort in modelling and painting so well done mate. Yep, the local Tourney scene is good as are the clubs, with no shortage of game systems being played and relative ease of finding an opponent. Good luck with your painting in 2017....and I have to ask, how did you type the Æ in Ærthegn?

Great stuff Matt, glad to hear you like it at Outpost, you have been certainly a great addition to the Club and the 30k group. Kudos on your achievement of painting this many minis and Knights. Looking forward to our joust of your House Ærthegn against my House Raven some time this year (hopefully not in the too far future)

Yep, I'll second what Timo said - you've been a great addition to the 30k scene at Outpost and I was really glad you were able to come and show off your army at the tournament. That's a pretty amazing army you've put together in the last year. I can't wait to see how you add to it this year!

Thanks guys for the kind comments! At the moment I am doing the finishing touches on the Castigator and Acherons armour panels and then I will do the Atrapos on his own...for now though, the Sons of Horus are all but finished...atleast for this year. The Vindicator pair are almost complete and I will be getting on to the Falchion asap, but I am super excited to get back to my Emperors Children!

Just thought I would throw up some pictures of my current projects, finishing off the Cerastus armour panels for the Castigator and Acheron, I have a pair of Vindicators ready for decals and weathering, and the Falchion has the striping down so far...

Finished up the Castigator and Acheron, would really like Forgeworld to finally release some House Ærthegn transfers in the near future...

Very impressive with great masking. Weathering is nice and subtle.

Thanks Sanzoku! Masking is one of those things that is really fun sometimes and a PITA other times, thankfully straight stripes is really simple, very eye catching and the trademark style for House Ærthegn.
